Tattoos and body art are often an expression of our personality, but, in some cases, we no longer want or desire to have the tattoos any longer. Once upon a time, we had resigned ourselves that the tattoos were for life, or the removal methods available were so painful, scarring and expensive that they were not a viable option. But now, there is a new, advanced alternative. Forever Gorgeous is excited to be using the Rejuvi removal system. This system will help to remove the tattoo* or fade tattoos for cover up or re-work.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Rejuvi is a specially formulated cream that is inserted in to the skin using a Micropigmentaton or tattoo machine by a tattoo artist or semi-permanent makeup artist. After numbing the area, the cream is injected into the skin using the same method as the original tattoo.
The Rejuvi cream enters the skin and immediately bonds with the original tattoo ink and draws it out of the skin using the body’s natural immune system. The body rejects the new, larger substance pushing it to the surface of the skin.
This excess ink will cause a crust on the skins surface, eventually scabbing over. The scab needs to remain protected until it naturally falls from the body – taking the ink with it.

HOW DOES IT DIFFER FROM LASER?
Laser works by breaking down the ink, until the particles are small enough to be absorbed into the body by bombarding the tattoo with laser light. Rejuvi draws the ink out of the skin, removing the ink particles. Rejuvi is also not colour selective and will remove all inks, unlike some laser machines which can’t break down certain colours.

DOES IT WORK ON ANY TATTOO ON ANY PERSON?
Rejuvi will work on almost any tattoo whether professionally applied or homemade.  The success rate for full removal is 92%**. There are certain skin types that will be susceptible to keloid scarring and are therefore not suitable.  We will also not use the system on pregnant or breastfeeding clients.

HOW LONG IS THE TREATMENT?
The treatment will take a minimum of 45 mins to numb the skin and an additional 30 – 45 minutes to apply the treatment.
How long will it take to remove the tattoo?
This will be totally dependent on the individual, size of the tattoo and how you respond to the treatment.

HOW SOON WILL I SEE A DIFFERENCE?
Generally the first treatment will provide excellent results.  Once the scab has naturally fallen away, a large amount of ink will have been removed from the skin. However, it is important to note that every case will be different.

WHAT SIZE TATTOO CAN BE REMOVED?
The Rejuvi system is designed to remove smaller tattoos as it heavily relies on the skins natural healing process to return the skin to its pre-tattoo health – therefore it will only be applied to small areas. For larger areas – the tattoo will be broken down into smaller areas and worked on individually. A consultation will advise on this.
How often can I have the treatment?
You will be required to wait between 8 – 12 weeks between each treatment to allow the skin to fully heal before we provide the next application.

WHAT AFTERCARE IS REQUIRED?
The aftercare is the most important part of the treatment. If you do not care for your treated area properly, there is a high risk of infection or scarring. The scab must be left to fall off naturally. Premature picking, knocking or pulling will affect the overall result. 
The area must be kept dry and cool until the scab has formed and has started to naturally fall away.

IS THERE ANYWAY THE PROCESS CAN BE SPED UP?
In order to remove the tattoo effectively, with minimal trauma to the skin, it is necessary to wait 8 – 12 weeks between treatments and to follow the aftercare advice perfectly.

CAN THE PROCESS REMOVE SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Yes, the Rejuvi system can be used to remove semi-permanent makeup. Forever gorgeous are fully trained and insured to remove semi-permanent makeup from the face. This will generally be a quicker treatment than body art. Semi-permanent makeup removal has a 100%** success rate.

CAN I HAVE REJUVI AFTER LASER REMOVAL?
This will be dependent on how many sessions you have had from laser and how it has affected the skin. This can be determined through consultation.

I HATE MY NEW TATTOO – CAN YOU HELP?
If you are having body art or semi-permanent makeup applied, and have a change of heart, we can remove the ink within 6 hours of application – before the skin heels. Contact us immediately for an emergency appointment.

I WANT TO REMOVE THE TATTOO FOR MY WEDDING IN 2 MONTHS – CAN YOU HELP?
Unfortunately, it is very unlikely that the tattoo will be removed in 1 session. However, Forever Gorgeous uses an excellent airbrushing machine which is perfect for tattoo camouflage for up to 18 hours.
